Setelah bermain-main dengan suffixes di post sebelumnya, kali ini kita akan lanjutkan adjective suffixes bagian kedua. Kali ini kita akan kombinasikan adjective suffixes dari noun dan dari verb. Semoga ngga terlalu kebanyakan hingga membuat kalian pusing ya hehehe…

Review sedikit dari adjective suffixes bagian pertama, kita sudah membahas tentang suffixes –al seperti pada musical, -y pada stormy, -ry pada disciplinary, -ly pada costly dan –ar pada muscular. Note: Ada beberapa adjective yang memiliki dua bentuk setelah suffixes ditambahkan, antara lain joy, Kalian bisa menambahkan -ous menjadi joyous atau -ful menjadi joyful. Joyful mengacu pada perasaan senang pada seseorang, sementara joyous mengacu pada deskripsi suatu event atau acara.

Contoh kalimat:

Joyful and agitating thoughts began to occupy his mind.

Joyous festivities have been held from time to time.

Selain joy, law, power, thought, wonder juga memiliki double adjective forms.
